In September 2005, The Legacy Foundation was a proud sponsor of R.O.A.R’s (Responsible Ovarian Awareness Required) 1st Annual 5K Walk/Run to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer. The Foundation’s grant was used to provide T-Shirts to all the participants. R.O.A.R. was founded in 2002 to educate women in recognizing the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and to acquire the knowledge to seek evaluation and treatment by qualified professionals.
